Based in Sussex, our client is a Hospice, providing specialist care to adults living with terminal illness and supporting families, friends and carers. The Hospice is set in 36 acres of beautiful countryside including ancient woodland; the environment makes a positive contribution to the wellbeing of staff and volunteers.
The Hospice is seeking to recruit 3 Assistant Shop Managers. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a friendly and supporting environment.
The shops are the ‘Windows on the High Street’, and you will need to have exceptional communication and customer service skills to develop relationships with customers in the community.
•Reporting to the Senior Shop Manager, you will be instrumental in helping to deliver the retail strategy and achieve monthly sales targets to help provide the Hospice and Community services.
•The Hospice operates a central distribution warehouse based at the Hospice and the team of drivers deliver high quality goods to the shop on a regular basis. It costs £8,000 per day to run the services and the fabulous retail team generate 26% of annual income to help meet the needs of service users and their families via the seven shops and online retail presence.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
•Exceptional communication and customer service skills to develop relationships.
•Experience of managing volunteers is desirable.
•Have plenty of initiative and enthusiasm.
•Creative flair for displaying stock.
•A team player, but able to work on own initiative.
•Be able to adhere to all health and safety and Hospice policy.
•A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential as you may from time to time be required to provide support at one of the other shops and visit the Warehouse at the Hospice.
•Live within a commutable distance and have the right to work in the UK.
