Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA) is one of the largest locally based housing organisations in the East Midlands. Across the region we manage over 9,000 homes; house more than 15,000 tenants; provide over 1,500 bed spaces for people with support/care needs, in over 250 properties; and provide more than 500,000 hours of care and support each year. We are looking to recruit an Assistant Manager to join our project in the Top Valley area of Nottingham. Benedict Court is a supported living project for five women aged 18+ with enduring mental health needs. Consisting of five self contained flats with easy access to local amenities, it is a long term service which offers a variety of daily support to the people who live there. This could be prompting someone to take their medication, supporting someone with shopping, budgeting and accessing leisure activities to name but a few. People are supported to be as independent as they can and work on their strengths and wishes to ensure they are able to reach their full potential and lead happy and fulfilled lives in their community. We need an Assistant Manager at Benedict Court to lead the small team of support workers. This role will be varied and will involve the line management of the staff team and oversee day to day support including the quality of the service delivered. There will be some shift work to cover for absences and deliver direct support to service users as required. Daily working hours will be 9-4pm 3 days a week (some flexibility in which days can be agreed) on week days. When shift cover is required then some flexibility on days will be required which may include working at the weekend – shift times are currently 8-3, 9-4 and 1-8pm on week days and weekends 10-4 or 10-6. Times are subject to change as peoples’ needs change. You will need to have experience of working in social care and hold a minimum level 2 NVQ, Diploma or Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care or another relevant equivalent qualification and once in post expected to achieve Level 3 qualification.
