Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, posting of accounting transactions, the production of a financial accounting month-end and provision of financial information to employers; processing of the day to day transactions, including posting of monthly accounts pack data, monthly reconciliation of bank accounts and resolution of differences; production of quarterly scheme specific expenses papers for committee meetings; to assist with the production of Annual Report and Accounts; production of Annual Scheme Accounts and provision of Scheme Financial Reports; preparation of the quarterly VAT return, reconciliation to VAT nominal accounts and submission to HMRC; development and maintenance of our financial systems and processes, including acting as Systems Administrator for the accounting package and relevant banking systems; preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for nominals controlled by the financial accounting area.
Candidates wishing to apply should:
- Be part-qualified or nearing completion of a financial qualification, e.g. ACCA/CIMA
- Excellent communication skills
- Good computer literacy, including MS Office & Excel
- Previously worked in a financial accounting role
- Knowledge of preparing balance sheet reconciliations
The excellent benefits package includes £35,000 - £40,000 salary + 35 hours a week + excellent pension scheme + 32 days annual leave + performance related bonus.
