Financial Institutions Coverage (FIC) is a global coverage group specialising in the Financial Institutions sector. FIC aims to build long-term relationships with key clients and gain insight into client strategy and targets to provide original and integrated ideas and solutions.
Purpose & Scope of role
Overall Job Purpose: The team provides sector coverage to the major UK Domestic Banks and Insurance Companies. The Analyst will assist and support the FIC Bankers in their efforts to promote all of the bank’s product lines, both domestically and globally.
Key Responsibilities of role
Joining a team of three people, the Analyst will be responsible for all aspects of assisting and supporting the FIC Bankers in client interaction, business development and transactions lifecycle, including:
Client relationship and commercial strategy support:
•Keeping the bankers appraised of client related news flow, market developments, moves and changes at the client or in the market
•Provide support on transactions and mandates such as KYC, credit committees’ preparation, compliance requirements, etc.
•Provide support in balance sheet activities with an aim to run those transactions autonomously when ready. These include revolving credit facilities, term loans, letters of credit and subsequent amendments and extensions requests
•Assisting in ISDA/CSA/GMRA execution with active management of Legal & Transaction Management Group and chasing clients for follow up to ensure timely execution
•Connect and work closely with internal product lines to maintain a reciprocal flow of information on marketing initiatives, transaction opportunities. Setting up quarterly progress and action point reviews with the business lines on key accounts
•Support management of client invites to marketing events
•Cross-sector comparative analysis of key client metrics, including Solvency ratios and Own Funds
Internal tracking & reporting requirements and marketing materials:
•Produce succinct memos on group-level relationship and strategy to brief Senior Management
•Assist in the preparation and update of client account plans
•Develop deep understanding of and provide support in key systems, including Client 1st, CRM Lite, RMPM, CRDS, Cockpit
•Maintain databases up to date and weekly monitoring of client meetings and opportunities
•Prepare internal marketing documents to communicate initiatives managed by the team
