POSITION: Accounts Assistant
SALARY: Up to £21K per annum depending on experience and speed of development
BENEFITS: Company Pension, Company Profit Share, Paid Public Holidays after successful completion of a 3 months probationary period and other benefits
HOURS: 7 ½ hours per day (8 hour day – ½ hour unpaid break)
LOCATION: Romsey, SO51 6AL
Our client is a fast moving and expanding water jetting company based near Romsey in the South of England.
Due to rapid expansion the company is now seeking to recruit an Accounts Assistant. It is envisaged that the role holder will be required to commit to a steep learning curve while they not only learn the business but also establish and develop themselves into the role and team.
Reporting into the Head of Accounts, the role holder will be fully supported throughout his/her development but will also be granted a high degree of autonomy and will be expected to take responsibility accordingly.
•Purchase order processing including the administration of the KANBAN system.
•Hose Purchase and Records.
•Communicating/Dealing with suppliers relating to purchasing queries.
As experience is gained:
•To support the Head of Accounts with the running of the Accounts functions and make entries into the Sage system and paying of wages as directed.
The company is looking for a qualified/part qualified accounts administrator who is as comfortable with data entry as assisting with general departmental administration but also has the presence to stand in for the Head of Accounts as and when required to do so.
An strong attention to detail is required as is an ability to work on one’s own initiative.
The working environment is dynamic and requires a candidate to be flexible as it is often necessary to juggle several activities simultaneously. A positive “can do” attitude is essential as is the will to establish themselves as part of an accounts/administration team.

•At least 1 year of Accounts?admin experience gained in a similar role in an industrial environment.
•Significant first-hand practical experience of Sage line 50.
•Attention to detail and ensuring all processes carried out are fulfilled on time and in full.
•Able to work both alone and as part of a team.
•Excellent communication skills (both oral and written.)
•Capable and willing to develop the role and to play a part in the growth of the company.

•23 days holiday rising to 24 after 2 years/25 after a further 2 years/26 after a further 2 years.
