Role Title: New Leaf Work Skills Co-ordinator - Macclesfield
Salary: £22,500 per annum pro rata for 25 hours per week at a rate of £11.54 per hour £15002 actual pay.
Fixed Term: July start date until 31.8.2019
New Leaf is a Building Better Opportunities project funded by the European Social Fund and the National Lottery, through the Big Lottery Fund. It is an innovative project, targeting individuals furthest away from the labour market in the Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) area, to help them in their journey towards employment.
Led by Warrington-based Golden Gates Housing Trust, working in partnership with other organisations across the area, New Leaf will support 2,800 individuals over a three year period, providing a tailored service, giving individual support and direction.
SUSO (Speaking Up, Speaking Out) is a user-led organisation for adults with learning disabilities and additional needs. We have a 14-month fixed term contract role for a Work Skills Coordinator, with the objective of supporting adults with learning disabilities and additional needs to move closer to, and into, the labour market. We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our team. You will be working in conjunction with the Training Coordinator, covering a range of administration, IT and communication responsibilities. You will be responsible for promoting the project and the benefits of employing adults with learning disabilities and additional needs, recruiting beneficiaries, work providers and volunteers, risk assessing work placements, liaising with New Leaf and project partners and coordinating end of project signposting.
You will be able to work as part of a team but also able to work on your own initiative, with excellent communication, IT and social media skills. Experience of working with a range of adults with learning disabilities, volunteers and social care professionals, would be an advantage. There will be an expectation to work to deadlines with occasional evening and weekend events.
