Support Worker, Counselling Specialist

As a support worker, you’ll be helping people lead independent and fulfilling lives. From helping them with everyday activities to sitting and having a cup of tea with them, the Support Worker role is varied and rewarding.
Day to day you could be doing:
- Accompanying them on medical appointments
- Taking them shopping
- Enabling them to attend social events
- Helping them to perform domestic chores
- Personal care, getting them ready for the day or bed
- Offering them an ear to listen

Ideal for launching or developing your social care career our course will enable you to work with people who have anxiety or depression, enhance the quality of life for people with long-term illness and allow you to gain the essential skills in support working and counselling.
On successful completion of the course you’ll gain the following qualifications
- Level 2 certificate in health and social care (QCF)
- Level 3 award in counselling
- Level 3 aware in cognitive behavioural therapy
