We have an exciting opportunity available at Lloyds Business Communications Ltd for a Senior IT Support Engineer to join our team based in St Helens on a permanent, full time basis working 40 hours per week. As a Senior IT Support Engineer, you will join a dynamic team and assist the Team Leader and IT Manager with all aspects of IT support covering a large client base. The role will require a good level of IT knowledge combined with excellent problem solving, analytical and communication skills. Specific areas of responsibility will include managing case resolutions, new solutions deployments, customer site audits and general network administration & troubleshooting.
Essential technical knowledge and experience required by our Senior IT Support Engineer:
- Windows Server (2008, 2012, 2016)
- Active directory
- Hyper-V Virtualisation
- SANs (Dell PowerVault)
- Exchange Server (2007, 2010 and 2013)
- MS Remote Desktop Services and Thin Client Devices
- Good level of TCP/IP networking knowledge
- Antivirus (Sophos or similar)
- Windows 7-10 client support
- Office 365 Administration
Desirable technical knowledge and experience required by our Senior IT Support Engineer:
- Sophos Central Deployment / Administration
- Microsoft Azure
- SQL Server (2012-2016)
- Microsoft Data Protection Manager (DPM 2007, 2012)
We would expect the candidate to have Microsoft accreditation such as MCSA or ideally MCSE.
The role will also involve an element of on-call support and will require occasional flexibility in working hours to support out of hours upgrades and scheduled outages.
