Senior CAD/Revit Technician
A CAD / Revit Technician is required to join a developing team within the water / waste industry.
You will work closely with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to develop drawings for a variety of purposes such as tender / outline design / detailed design. There are a range of large projects including water / waste water treatment plants, pumping stations, water pipelines, road tunnels, building services, as well as some other small-scale projects.
Your responsibilities as a CAD / Revit Technician:
Preparing Setting-Out drawings for site survey works
Preparing Risk Assessments; Method Statements prior to site works
Carrying out site survey work
CAD Drawing Work; Modelling (office based)
Liaison with operations and maintenance staff on site.
Depending on client requirements, the project requirements may be for a Revit model to be produced, or for AutoCAD 2D/3D plans to be produced. These models may include:
Water Treatment Plant Equipment
Structural Elements (Tender purposes only)
MCC Cabinets; Electrical Control Systems
Fire Suppression Systems
Way Finding Tunnel Signage
- CAD related qualification
- Revit experience (Central Files, Families, Worksets, Systems Development, Parameters Development, Linking Models)
- Site Surveying (Topographic Surveys, Point Cloud Surveys)
- Leica Hardware (ScanStations, GNSS Equipment (GS08 upwards)
- Leica Software (Cyclone Register/360)
- Faro Hardware
- AutoCAD / AutoCAD MEP (Generic CAD Standards, CAD Template Files, xRefs, Co-Ordinates, Grid References)
- PDF software and revision workflows including mark-ups
