SEN English Teacher – Trafford
£100 - £150 per day
PK Education’s Manchester branch are working with a special secondary school in the Trafford area in order to recruit dynamic English Teachers.
This special school in Trafford is part of a growing trust and caters for young people aged 11 to 18 with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) including Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). They are looking for committed and innovative teachers to start in September on a temporary basis. You will be required to plan and deliver creative English lessons to small groups of students in an engaging way. To be successful you will need a flexible approach, adapting activities to suit the specific needs and abilities of students. Pupils may display challenging behaviour so excellent behaviour management is necessary and de-escalation training would be beneficial.
Alongside the friendly staff team you will be responsible for creating a positive and safe learning environment for all students.
To be considered for the SEN English Teacher role you must have:
Recognised teaching qualification PGCE or equivalent (QTS).
Excellent subject knowledge specialising in English.
Experience working with a range of SEN.
Strong behaviour management with a calm but firm approach.
Reference details will be requested prior to registration.
Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service – if you do not have a DBS registered online PK Education will provide full assistance in getting you one.
