This home is a five-bedroom children's home, providing care and support for children and young people with a diagnosis of ASD and learning difficulties.

We are seeking a residential support worker to work in safe and homely environment for children and young people between 10-19 who may have EMSH and /or Autism.
Ideally, we are looking for people with previous experience but what we really want is an outgoing attitude, dedication to making a difference and to share our commitment to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare.
This is a whole year role and you'll be working on a shift system including early, late and weekend shifts. Applicants should have a Level 3 Diplomas in Children or Young People's Workforce or willingness to undertake this qualification within a robust timescale.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:
- Ideally have Level 3 Diplomas in Children or Young People's Workforce or willingness to undertake this qualification within a robust timescale.
- Experience working with a children's home or similar setting.
- Experience working with children with emotional, social and mental health needs who may have challenging behaviour.
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be a strong team player and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Be flexible and resilient and be able to respond to the changing needs of those who we support
- A strong "can do" attitude
- Have own transport
