Project Manager - Project Risk
An opportunity has arisen within the BAE Systems (BAES) Land (UK) Project Management Office (PMO) for a Project Manager - Project Risk. You will be working with the PMO Risk & Opportunity Management Team to champion the risk & opportunity management process within Land UK, demonstrating the value and benefits to be achieved through robust, effective and proactive risk and opportunity management.
This role would be ideally suited to a candidate wishing to develop from a high performing Risk Practitioner to a Risk Manager role.
As a PM - Project Risk, you will be supporting the Integrated Delivery Teams (IDT) and Functions to ensure compliance with the corporate risk management mandates, policies and Land (UK) Business Management System (BMS).
Responsible for the provision of Enterprise Risk and Opportunity Management (R&OM) processes, applied across the IDTs. Responsible for reporting project risks and opportunity exposures, producing maturity metrics and ensuring alignment across business systems and formal reporting.
You will provide the IDT Directors with information that increases the certainty of the business delivering against the strategic objectives, deliveries and projects.
Your main responsibilities as a Project Manager - Project Risk will involve:
Responsible for implementing R&OM in accordance with an Enterprise Risk Management Framework
Ensuring compliance to the BAE SYSTEMS Operational Framework, Risk Policy and Policy Guidance requirements
Run Monte Carlo analysis within a standard Predict! Toolset; to conduct analytical risk analysis for schedule risk and report results and recommendations
Identify additional innovative techniques to improve the capture, management and report of project risks with the IDT's and Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
Support the maintenance of project risk and opportunity data ensuring data integrity
Ensure the integrity of risk data is consistent within risk reports for all business reporting forums
Facilitation of the Joint Risk Management process across the Joint Working Groups
Promote and communicate the Risk and Opportunity Management process across the IDTs and flow down through the business
Provide support and cover for R&OM across the Land (UK) business unit, including database administration, SRA etc.
Your skills and qualifications:
o Experience of Enterprise Risk Management and Opportunity Management - preferably within an operations/manufacturing environment
o Applied Project Risk and Opportunity Management experience, methodologies and toolsets
o Qualified to APMP or PMQ or similar
o Experience in advising senior leaders within a similar industry
o Understanding and experience of the generic Risk and Opportunity process stages
o Academically qualified to degree level or equivalent standard in a related discipline such as Business Management
o Experience of Life Cycle Management would be desirable
o Experience in the application of Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) techniques and tools, for example: Predict! Analyser, @Risk and Primavera Risk Analysis
