The Council currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial Programme Manager to join their team. This role will be pivotal in driving forward a strategic scale growth, development and regeneration programme within East Suffolk. This role will be focused on the efficient use of land that the Council owns or is interested in acquiring and assisting other land owners in bringing forward sites the Council has development interest in.
You will co-ordinate the work of various services and stakeholders that impact upon major growth, development and infrastructure programmes. As well as leading on delivering objectives on time and within budget, you will also be responsible for coordinating resources working on the project, identifying, managing and escalating risk, providing recommendations and reporting on progress. It will also be essential to ensure the programme receives suitable promotion and publicity and to engage with stakeholders who may be potentially affected by emerging proposals.
You will have a proven track record in delivering major projects in a planning, development or regeneration role, considerable post qualification experience in Development Management and development economics and be MRICS or MRTPI. You will also have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, political sensitivity and the ability to independently plan and implement work which crosses service and organisational boundaries to ever changing deadlines. Mobility within the district is essential as there will be a requirement to travel.
