Neighbourhood Officer (Housing)
Letchworth Garden City
Our world is changing. Against a backdrop of financial difficulty for some and an inaccessible housing market for many, our client is here to tackle challenges familiar to us all.
They have started to develop a new approach to customer services, rent collection, income maximisation and flexible, mobile housing management. The task of Neighbourhood Officer is to deliver these ambitions.
This role is responsible for tackling rent arrears, responding to and resolving reports of anti-social behaviour, managing estate conditions and other tenancy management issues, whilst maintaining a high standard of customer service with every customer contact.
You will be required to respond to challenging and sometimes complex problems which are key to being able to provide an intensive management approach particularly for vulnerable tenants. The Neighbourhood Officers work generically therefore you will also need to be able to manage competing and often high priority demands.
The successful candidate will have the ability to maximise income collection and reduce rent arrears. You will have a good knowledge of housing law and tenancy enforcement action relating to rent arrears, anti-social behaviour and other tenancy breaches. A passion for customer service and the ability to cope well under pressure is essential, along with a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
In return, you will be offered a structured induction and development plan, which will include you being proactive in your own personal development and learning.
