We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Fitter/ Mechanic working from a new self-contained depot in the Sharston Area.
Are you a mechanical fitter with NVQ 1-3 or equivalent qualification in motor vehicle repair with extensive experience working with various sized PCV vehicles?
In this role, you will be diagnosing, maintaining and repairing a high number of coaches and buses in accordance with established company procedure and VOSA requirements. It is essential that you work within the safe working practices as stated in the company’s Health and Safety policy and procedures.
The main duties of the Mechanical Fitter/Mechanic include:
· Inspecting and repairing a high number of vehicles
· Diagnosing faults by road testing vehicles and using laptop diagnostic software, pressure and brake gauges, rolling rods and multimeters.
· Electrical repair work
· To ensure all vehicles provided for operations comply with the standards set by the company and VOSA.
Average hours of work are 48 hours per week working on a shift rota 4 days on / off and the opportunity for overtime.
To be suitable for this role you may previously have worked as a Vehicle Fitter, PCV Fitter of PCV Technician.
