Linux & DevOps Engineer - Chippenham - £35,000 to £47,000 + 30 days holiday
An international software & technology provider in Chippenham is urgently seeking a new Linux Engineer with experience of DevOps & automation tools such as Ansible and Vagrant. They are at an interesting stage of their technical development - moving further into DevOps and automation processes across their development teams and you will be at the front of that change. This is a varied role where you will be responsible for the hosted infrastructure and technical operations that underpin the delivery of their core software products to customers. You will provide the internal Linux Administration and configuration of the technical environment. You will support the software development team on application deployments. You will also touch on their Windows Server environments and you will take the lead role on their implementation of automation and DevOps tools such as Ansible.
As the successful candidate you must have:
- Strong skills in Linux administration
- Experience of automation and DevOps tools - specifically Ansible amongst others
- Knowledge of Vagrant would be an advantage
- Windows Server Administration experience would be an advantage
- SQL skills (basic)
- A personable approach and a collaborative attitude
You will be rewarded with an excellent basic salary of circa £35,000 - £47,000 depending on skills and experience plus benefits that include 30 days holiday.
