Learning/Behaviour Mentor Required for a long-term assignment
To support primary aged children within a diverse city primary school in Leicester
To manage challenging behaviour by motivating and inspiring them to learn
To research, plan and deliver 1-2-1 mentoring support sessions with identified students on a range of subjects and behaviours that may be hindering individual learning,
To provide guidance, emotional support and guidance to pupils
You will report back to teachers, senior leadership team and parents to help resolve any issues that are creating barriers to the pupils learning
To engage pupils to become skilled and self-motivated, lifelong learners, through an enjoyable, memorable curriculum.
To attend team and school meetings and those that are specifically in relation to students that you mentor/support
To maintain accurate records on names students which measure the impact of your intervention
The successful candidate will:
Have a relevant qualification ie: Degree in Psychology
Proven track record of successfully working with disaffected young people
Be able to provide at least two professional references (including most recent employer)
A DBS on the update service
