Operating Theatre HCA/Loan Equipment Co-ordinator – Full Time (37.5hrs)

About our theatre department:
Our Theatre Department is extremely busy, working with Consultants from a wide range of clinical disciplines, including orthopaedics and cosmetics. You must be able to demonstrate current Theatre experience with the ability to work under pressure.
Your key accountabilities will be:
Attendance at capacity planning meetings, loan equipment receipt and return, ordering of high value prostheses and consumables, communicating with our consultant partners and their secretaries, negotiating pricing, purchase order generation and account reconciliation, together with the maintenance of accurate records
Ongoing training and development will be provided with completion of clinical competencies relevant to the role.
About your qualities and skills:
As an experienced, theatre-based worker you’ll be an excellent communicator and team worker and will be flexible and motivated. As part of the wider hospital team you’ll interact with colleagues from other departments as well as medical companies because you understand the importance of meticulous communication.
You will need to be conscientious and extremely organised as this is a pivotal role within the hospital and requires an applicant of the highest calibre to fulfil it successfully.
This role is based at Winfield Hospital, which is a leading private hospital on the outskirts of Gloucester. We have three fully equipped, lamina flow theatres, with a six-bedded recovery, a dedicated and JAG accredited endoscopy unit, and twelve outpatient consulting rooms with associated examination and treatment facilities. Other outpatient facilities include physiotherapy, pharmacy, audiology, radiology, ultrasound, MRI and CT.
