A fantastic chance to head a popular Hotel, Restaurant and Wedding venue has just come on the market, it offers a fantastic work life balance and a generous salary of £35K + Negotiable.
As Head Chef you will lead a small team in the production and service of dishes prepared from fresh locally sourced ingredients. The main restaurant caters for up to 34 covers and provides the perfect opportunity to showcase a repertoire of fine dining style plates of food.
Presently the core trade comes from wedding functions and hotel accommodation with ample scope to develop a reputation for chance trade (non resident) in the restaurant.
You should be an excellent communicator and know how to help your team to achieve their best, you should have a good understanding of ingredients, seasonal produce and understand the importance of negotiating with suppliers to ensure you receive the best produce they can provide at market price. You should also be experienced at writing and pricing menus and understand how to price/cost menus effectively.
Ideal candidates for this position will have a CV that demonstrates steady career progress, commitment, longevity in previous positions and experience of working at AA 1 Rosette + Restaurants.
~ 40-45 hours per week
~ £35K pa + NEG depending on experience (exceptional applicants could agree an inflated salary)
