South Norfolk Council has an exciting opportunity for an HR Apprentice to join the team based in Long Stratton. You will be there on a full time, fixed term basis of 2 years and your salary will be paid in line with the Living Wage (£15,106 per annum).

The HR Apprentice role:

What you will be doing as our HR Apprentice:
- Providing high quality, proactive and confidential administrative support to the HR Team
- Supporting recruitment campaigns e.g. placing adverts, assisting with assessments and completing new starter paperwork
- Responsible for maintaining manual and computerised systems including data inputting, processing and scanning documents, record keeping etc.
- Managing incoming communication to the team
- Supporting Payroll during pay runs
The ideal HR Apprentice will have the below skills and experience:
GCSE’s grade A – C including Maths and English (or equivalent), a basic knowledge of the apprenticeship and be able to demonstrate an interest and enthusiasm for working within HR. You must have good organisational skills, supported by strong IT skills, and an eye for detail alongside the ability to work to tight deadlines. Strong customer service skills are essential, with an ability to demonstrate tact, discretion and confidentiality.
This role will require you to complete a fully funded training qualification and as such, you should be committed to achieving this. This apprenticeship will allow you to build a solid foundation knowledge in HR.
