Job Title: Electrical Commissioning Engineer – NEREDA WWTW

My Client is a principal contracting company who undertake Civil Engineering and M&E projects across the UK, for example: repair and maintenance to water/utilities assets.
The company is currently growing year on year, they have a friendly and personable team, have been trading many years and have low staff attrition
My Client are now looking to recruit an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to report into the M&E Manager on this project.
As the Electrical Commissioning Engineer, you will be working for a national contractor dealing with the AMP6 framework in the North West and then transitioning into AMP 7.
The role will be primarily focussing on a £50m Waste Water NEREDA plant development in the North West.
Preparation of procedures in line with policies
Review design for EICA installation and make amendments where possible
Oversee and review installation of Electrical services
To set the standards for testing and commissioning activities
To manage, in liaison with Engineering Managers, all testing and commissioning works including interfaces with Client and other contractors on site; Commissioning Manager sets the standard.
To liaise with the Central Design team
To ensure the commissioning team resources are adequate, competent and efficient in their tasks
As an Electrical Commissioning Engineer, you will be required to:
Coordinate this work and ensure it meets all relevant policies and procedures, ensure all meets the Client's requirements and it is delivered to the Programme.
This process is achieved by preparation of required documents and procedures, their implementation and via meetings with all relevant internal and external parties
Following is the minimal requirements for the position of Commissioning Engineer.
Previous UU or AMP6 Experience
Appropriate Electrical Qualifications
Ideally Chartered or actively working toward Chartership.
5+ years of Electrical Commissioning Experience
This is a key role and will offer opportunities for ambitious candidates to develop in to a Commissioning Manager role.
