Who we are:
Amberleigh Care is a centre of excellence for young males who have exhibited inappropriate or harmful sexual behaviours. We use researched and evidenced based practice models, underpinned by specialist trained staff, to deliver stable placements with best outcomes.
Our therapeutic programme consists of care, education and therapy departments working collaboratively to support the individual treatment goals identified for each young person.
Amberleigh Care operates two residential therapeutic communities which are specially designed group living settings.
Education Manager/Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo)
To provide support to the Director of Education, along with day to day operational management of the education provision within our independent special school and the undertaking of teaching responsibilities to ensure all young people have access to education appropriate to their needs and development and that teachers are guided and supported with behaviour management.
To co-ordinate and monitor the delivery of SEN support throughout the school. The Education Manager/SENCo, with the support of the Director of Education takes responsibility for the day-to-day operation of provision made by the school for pupils with SEN and provide professional guidance in the area of SEN in order to secure high quality teaching and the effective use of resources to bring about improved standards of achievement of all pupils.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
Senior Leadership and SENCo experience preferable
