Friendly Book Company Seeks Marketing Agents
Are you looking for an exciting job opportunity, either a well-rewarded full-time role or an interesting and profitable side line to top up an existing income?
We’re currently recruiting enthusiastic freelance agents to call on customers and deliver samples in local workplaces. In most cases the customers and calls are established and you will be taking over a territory in which our company is well-known.
Our experienced agents can earn up to £1000 per week in the peak season, but many of our agents – semi-retired, for example, or with childcare routines or other commitments - are happy to earn £150-£200 a week by working fewer hours.
Ours is a tried and tested marketing method, there is no hard sell, and to many we’re seen as part of the community, offering a valued service. The majority of our visits are to schools and hospitals, where books are traditionally highly regarded along with our tempting ranges of gifts and stationery.
You would be working for yourself, not employed by us, but we would offer you full support, including on-the-job training: your opening stock, worth around £7,000-£10,000, is supplied to you completely free, you only pay for what you sell, and return unsold products when we supply you more items. We take care of all deliveries, pick-ups, stationery and order forms at our own expense.
While we prefer agents on a full-time basis, we’re keen to bring the best people into our business, so we’re open-minded, prepared to talk, and happy to look at building the job around someone’s existing employment or lifestyle commitments where that makes sense. Two things you must have: a large car (at minimum, a van would be preferred) with licence to drive it; and a space like a garage to store around 150 cartons of books and gifts.
