Development Manager - Central London - Amazing Children's Charity
We are urgently hiring for a Development Manager to join one of the most well-known Children's Charities in Central London. You will gain management experience and get 1st hand exposure to all areas of business. You will have come from an engineering background ideally within an open-source environment
As the Development Manager, you will be managing a team of 15 Engineers, QA's and BA's in a cross-functional Agile environment working on a massively influential system for the charity
Someone who has experience of working in an Agile/SCRUM based environment is going to help you win the respect of your peers and team members. The team themselves are some of the brightest minds, 90% of which come from a Drupal environment but there will be engineers in the team that use various tech as the business have just started to work on a very innovative platform using Salesforce. The people involved in this would work with you although we aren't expecting you to be all things to everyone, so experience in this isn't necessary
Recently they have adopted an Agile SCRUM Methodology and where possible are truly trying to adopt best practices at every turn. They have CI set up internally and are building out their CD pipeline in a bid to automate as much as possible as well as increase the pace at which they can deliver software.
This opportunity is great for a development manager looking to progress as there is room to move into a senior DM role or for a Lead Developer/Tech Lead to looking to take the jump into management.
