I am recruiting for a talented Cloud Engineer for a massively growing, and talented team based in Cirencester. They are currently working on some exciting new and challenging green field projects, using SQL 2016 and Azure have plans to be one of first to allow all their staff to be trained on the new release of SQL 2017, so this is an opportunity for someone who wants the chance to be part of a growing team that is recognised as key players in the organisation.
My client understands that it is business critical to have a strong IT Engineering Team, so you will get the opportunity to work closely with some extremely talented Cloud Engineers and be part of a team that will shape the future of the organisation.
Key duties of the role:
The successful candidate will join the team supporting the infrastructure, databases and applications for enterprise customers. The Cloud Engineer is responsible for providing server, network and application support with a strong emphasis on building secure, reliable services. Services have migrated from hosting providers to Azure and have been redesigned and rebuilt making use of Azure and third-party technologies.
You will have an opportunity to work with technologies like Azure Platform Management (DSC and Arm templates), HA Proxy, SQL Server 2016, Windows 2016, Azure PaaS, CosmosDB, Table Storage and virtual networks in your day-to-day responsibilities.
Essential Experience and Skills:
- 5+ years in a similar role
- Advanced PowerShell automation/development
- Expert level of knowledge of Windows Servers
- Experience of virtualization
- Active Directory domains
- Exposure to IIS
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Technologies and solutions
- Knowledge of IT security principles
- Experience working with storage technologies
An excellent understanding of PowerShell, Windows Servers, IIS, Networking (Firewalls, Switches, DNS, DHCP), and Active Directory. Knowledge of SSL Certificates, Azure and Linux is a benefit.
