There is currently an opening with Europe's fastest growing e-commerce company as they undergoing a phase of rapid expansion that will see them entre new markets not just here in Europe but further abroad. This company have large plans for their next phase and at the centre of this sits the data and analytics team.
As a Data Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring that as this company continue to expand their use of the data they generate continue to drive business growth. You will develop the data pipelines in Python to ingest data from multiple sources including APIs and Event Stores. You will also work heavily with SQL, cleansing data, building data warehouses and making the data available for their custom built in house BI tool. In addition you will also have the opportunity to work closely with our DevOps team as we utilise AWS.
To be considered for this Data Engineer role there are a number of skills we would be looking for you to be able to demonstrate:
- Firstly we are looking for someone who comes from a strong SQL background. You will be comfortable writing complex store procedures, joins and tables and be able to demonstrate this.
- You will have worked on building ETL or Data Pipelines that ingest data from multiple different sources.
- We are also looking for someone who has taken ownership of their own work, having taken charge of more complex user stories
