If you are a proven Chef de Rang who can lead by example and ensure that service always runs to the highest levels without any issues, we’d like to speak to you about a key role at our Pall Mall clubhouse.
As Chef de Rang you will supervise and assist members of staff as they provide exemplary service to our Members and their guests. You will be responsible for preparing your section to the highest standards, ensuring all mise en place is correct, carrying our daily schedules and collecting required items from stores. You will also be expected to use your communication skills to engage in polite conversation with Members and guests, anticipating their needs and making informed recommendations, as well as receiving and passing on for action all comments, compliments and complaints. You’ll use the EPOS system to ensure that all orders are recoded and dealt with accurately, itemised bills are presented and payments are received and processed correctly.
We are looking for someone with a similar hospitality service background, who is able to effectively oversee their section and assist across the Restaurant. To succeed, you must be a real team player with good interpersonal skills and the ability to converse with members in English. You should also possess:
- A basic food hygiene certificate ideally backed up by an NVQ or equivalent in Food Service/Customer Service.
- Customer service experience in a quality restaurant, preferably including knowledge of electronic point of sale.
- High standards of presentation and attention to detail.
