Our client is an award winning global logistics company. We are now looking for a Business Development Manager to effectively generate new business and develop existing accounts within The UK. Our client is an independently recognised market leader in the field of critical logistics, and intends to grow its UK-based operation through dedicated sales in a previously under-exploited market.
Your role will involve...
Proactive and sustained sales contact to identify and develop customers.
Plan and carry out effective regular trips to present to prospective clients across the UK.
Achieve personal annual sales target of new business which contributes to overall annual sales team target.
Maintain good working relationships with the UK operation.
Represent the company at conferences/exhibitions.
Ensure that the highest possible standards are maintained in all activities.
Diligently and promptly maintain company's CRM reporting system.
Enhance and improve customer relations.
In order to apply for this role you will have internal and external sales experience within the air freight forwarding sector with proof of results. Ideally if you have experience of working for an integrator this would be ideal. You will have key account management skills, excellent presentation and communication skills with developed networking skills.
