The MND Association has an opportunity available for an Assistant Management Accountant to join the team in Northampton. You will join us on a full time, 9 month contract working 37 hours per week. In return, we are offering you a competitive salary of circa £26,000 per annum plus benefits.
The MND Association was founded in 1979. Our mission is to improve care and support for people with MND, their families and carers. We also fund and promote research that leads to new understanding and treatments and brings us closer to a cure for MND. The Association also campaigns and raises awareness so the needs of people with MND, and everyone who cares for them, are recognised and addressed by wider society.
What are the responsibilities of the Assistant Management Accountant?
An opportunity has arisen to join our busy and friendly Finance Team at the MND Association on a fixed term basis for 9 months. The key purpose of our Assistant Management Accountant is to act as Finance Business Partner to Association budget holders and prepare the monthly management accounts and quarterly rolling forecasting for the Association.
This role will also be responsible for other financial tasks such as gift aid process, balance sheet account reconciliations, sales invoice production and credit control.
What do we look for in an Assistant Management Accountant?
- AAT qualified or CCAB part qualified
- Knowledge of Management Accounts, including budgeting and forecasting
You will have excellent analytical skills, with good attention to detail and be able to produce accurate reports to agreed deadlines.
This role will involve communicating with colleagues from all levels and key stakeholders, in and outside the business. Therefore, it is vital you possess excellent relationship building skills and enjoy collaborating with different parts of the Association.
It is essential you have strong IT skills with knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level.
