Our client is a well-established charity providing nearly 4,000 affordable homes for rent in the beautiful Forest of Dean and surrounding area.
They are dedicated to ‘creating great homes and supporting communities’ and, like many similar organisations, they are currently developing an ambitious 10-year Corporate Plan, and managing the pressures of Universal Credit on their tenants. They are building hundreds of new homes and regenerating their existing housing stock, whilst offering tenants financial management support and opportunities to learn new skills and socialise in this predominantly rural area.
These are common challenges in the social housing sector – and their constantly improving tenant satisfaction scores suggest they are managing them well – but this Top 100 organisation stands out from the rest because of its profit-for-purpose activities.
They are growing several ethical commercial business opportunities, generating new income to invest in providing homes and services.
