My York based client who are leaders in test and verification tools for the automotive and defence sector are looking for a marketing expert to join a successful and growing company working with some of the largest and most successful businesses in the world. Your key responsibilities will include:
Working with the sales, marketing and engineering teams to deliver the marketing strategy for technical software products and services;
Improving the efficiency of the sales team through effective lead generation, content and automation;
Define/refine the marketing strategy and plan;
Organization and implementation of shows, conferences, seminars and customers, travelling around the world to promote the company and its products.
Ensuring effective, consistent messaging, branding and profile of the products and services to the company’s target segments, influencers and audiences in order to maximise sales, raise awareness and create a positive impression;
To manage the product marketing elements of the products and services, including content, messaging, lead generation, competitive analysis, sales training and sales tools;
To devise and implement the communications and lead generation programmes in line with the marketing plan to continually raise the profile and drive leads for the new and existing products and services in our target markets, and to ensure that programme managers and agencies have the necessary material to represent the products and services through the relevant communication vehicles
Required skills and experience
Strong technical background, including in-depth knowledge of software development and familiarity with aerospace or embedded systems. Ideally, a technical degree such as computer science or experience of software development;
A minimum of 4 years marketing in a B2B environment with a proven track record in product marketing;
Excellent written and spoken English language;
Marketing qualification (e.g. CIM Professional Certificate/Diploma) or experience.
Desirable skills and experience
Familiarity with standards and technologies used in aerospace or automotive software development and verification;
Familiarity with sales/marketing technologies such as SalesForce, marketing automation, emailing list services;
Previous experience with embedded software development;
Website management, CMS especially Drupal;
A customer-focused approach.
