Job Title: 2xFemale* Personal Care Assistants/Support Workers
Location: Birdham, Chichester
Hourly rate: £10.50 per hour £11 bank holidays.
Hours/shifts: 6 hours per week-Monday and Tuesday-maternity cover for 9 months starting July 2019. 10 hours per week Wednesday and Thursday-permanent post.

• Requires support with personal care, domestic and social activities
• Required to provide encouragement to go out and access the community
• Full, clean driving license required as you will be driving my mobility car
• I like to spend lots of time with my family and my grandchildren often visit
*Sch. 9 s. 1 (1) Equality Act 2010 applies
you will be required to drive my disability car
Must refrain from involving the employer in any social media
Training will be given
All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check
Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
Laundry, hanging out to dry, ironing, putting away
Loading and unloading the washing machine
Loading and unloading tumble dryer/washing line
Changing bed linen
Taking out rubbish
General housework, including cleaning, dusting and vacuuming.
Minor household maintenance e.g. changing light bulbs, taking down curtains for washing
Preparing drinks, snacks and meals.
Maintenance of small garden
Help with form filling and paperwork
Assistance with personal hygiene as and when needed
Washing and showering – hair washing, towel drying, drying hair
Help getting in and out of the shower as required
Assistance with applying cream
General hair/skin care
Using the toilet
Dressing and undressing/ helping with buttons and fastenings
Assistance with medication
Helping with other aspects of personal care as required, for example assisting employer to get changed at swimming pool and accompanying them in the pool.
Driving and accompanying and assisting employer on shopping trips when required
Driving and accompanying employer when accessing social and leisure activities, including to swimming, theatre and appointments. The above duties will involve driving the employer in their car
The successful applicant will be:

Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety
Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
