A wonderful opportunity has arisen within the IT function at a growing and ambitious Christian charity for a Head of IT / IT Manager to lead their small IT team and implement the IT strategy moving forward.
It will be your responsibility to work with the team and Ops Director in delivering a timely and effective IT service to staff, suppliers and donors. As Head of IT you will ensure effective operational management and on-going improvement to the IT systems, infrastructure and team including budget management, data security, data protection, integrity and availability. The role is envisaged as a 40% IT strategy and 60% IT delivery split, providing the line management of services support and technical analyst / developer team (4). You will lead the planning and management of the work pipeline for systems and data developments, and CRM roadmap (liaising with ministry stakeholders as required) and lead the IT Team and sprint planning, scrum manager and capacity management. You will also perform as a project lead / manager for IT development and infrastructure projects, contributing to the delivery of overall project outcomes in-line with their planning and project management processes and standards and lead and develop rhythms of Agile Sprint delivery for the CRM and associated systems (Web, Email, Telephony).
The role requires an understanding of principles of good Christian stewardship along with spirit-led, faithful risk-taking in order to work well with key stakeholders, in accordance with the core values of the charity as it is an Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010 that the post holder will be a practising Christian. You respond well to pressure and can demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines and produce work of a consistently high standard as well as having excellent communication skills.
