Salary circa £60K, plus bonus, car, mobile, laptop, pension, life cover, healthcare, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, dynamic and commercially aware General Manager, with a background in production and operations, to lead this business through improved manufacturing, production, operations, logistics and commercial functions as well as sales growth to achieve strategic objectives.

The Role

The General Manager will create and implement a business plan to deliver strategic goals, with a strong focus on developing manufacturing, production, operations, logistics and commercial functions as well as developing sales growth.

Managing, monitoring and reviewing customer projects and delivering on customer expectations.

Analysing, implementing and controlling opportunities, working closely with regional Directors.

Identifying, creating and implementing policies and procedures to unify manufacturing, production, operations, logistics and commercial functions.

Proactively managing and developing growth of key products and applications within projects.

Leading and motivating an experienced team to implement improvements.

Negotiating trading agreements to maximise profitability.

Working closely with key customers as the face of the business and the brand.

Driving cultural change within the business through motivational leadership.

Full P&L responsibility.

The Candidate

The successful General Manager will demonstrate: 

A background in manufacturing, production, operations, logistics and commercial businesses.

Strong customer management and business development skills, with good sales and commercial acumen; able to identify opportunities and secure them.

The ability to understand and communicate strategy and business model to customers and colleagues.

Customer service excellence and the ability to translate opportunities to maximise customer service into sales.

Excellent management skills and the tenacity to achieve objectives, together with a commitment to coach and develop your team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience of developing manufacturing, production, operations, logistics and commercial functions as well as developing sales growth.

Full P&L responsibility.
