Our Project Services team, who are based from our offices in Sussex, specialise in planning and delivering large scale transformation programmes, as well as delivering ongoing services to our client base.
The IT Field Engineer Opportunity:
Due to expansion, we’re now recruiting for a Field Engineer to join our delivery team. You’ll be responsible for providing on-site field support to customers including installations, servicing, repairing and upgrading systems and equipment. You will distribute devices to the end user and provide basic hand over support. You will need experience working with customer technology and support requirements. The role is primarily customer-facing and may require some weekend and shift work. Previous field support experience is desirable but not essential as you will be given training.
+ Provides on-site field support to customers including installation, and servicing and repairing systems and equipment. Verifies and approves operational quality of system equipment
+ Resolves customer issues in the areas of hardware installation, repair, upgrade and maintenance. Assists in investigating and resolving complex installations and maintenance matters of significance
+ Instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of systems/equipment
+ Ensures issues are referred to the appropriate personnel/service areas for follow up, testing and troubleshooting
+ Acts as a liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects
+ Performs analysis and prepares reports on system problem trends and issues
IT Field Engineer Required Skills & Experience:
+ Good interpersonal skills to work with customers and other unit personnel
+ Good analytical and problem solving skills
+ Good communication skills
+ Good time management and organizational skills
+ Ability to resolve hardware and equipment problems
+ Willingness to travel
+ High school diploma or G.E.D. (or equivalent)
+ Experience of field support desired but not essential
+ Experience working with the company's hardware, software and equipment products
+ Experience working with customer technology and support requirements
Location: Field based within the M25. We would welcome applications from candidates who live in and around the South East due to frequent travelling to customer sites around the Greater London Area.
Hours: 9.00am to 5.30pm / Monday to Friday.
